This artwork was inspired by symbols from a variety of Asian Religions.  All the tiles that were made by pupils at Dowson Primary School, Hyde, were fromrecycled materials, adorned with gemstones and glitter glue.  The doorway itself was made from MDF and stands a whopping 8ft x 4ft!  It was made as part of a Community Cohesion Project organised by the school with support from the Muslim Heritage Centre.  Children took part in a variety of activities over Autumn 1, from Art to Food Technology, Languages to Bollywood dancing!  It culminated in a finale where Years' 1- 6 took part in lots of activities throughout the day dancing, tasting, singing, acting and learning about the Muslim faith.  Parents joined in the festivities after school and were wowed by the work completed by the children!  Lots of fun, (and hard work!)
